Born in Sanuki-shi (formerly Samukawa-cho) in Showa 44 (1969) as the eldest son of a part-time farmer, he graduated from Takamatsu High School in Showa 63 (1988), graduated from the University of Tokyo School of Law in Heisei 5 (1993), joined the Ministry of Finance in the same year ※1 Heisei 9 (1997), completed Harvard University Graduate School (Kennedy School) in Heisei 17 (2005) and is running for the 44th House of Representatives election. After getting 70,177 votes but losing for 4 years as a ronin, he got 109,863 votes in the 45th House of Representatives election, got 79,153 votes in the Heisei 24 (2012) 46th House of Representatives election, won the 2nd term, got 78,797 votes in the Heisei 26 (2014) 47th House of Representatives election, and ran for the 3rd term in the Heisei 28 (2016) Democratic Progressive Party representative election. A veteran technology entrepreneur/investor based in Hong Kong, Yat Siu is the co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, a global leader in blockchain and gaming with the mission to deliver digital property rights to the world's gamers and Internet users, thereby creating a new asset class, play-and-earn economies, and a more equitable digital framework contributing to the building of the open metaverse. Yat began his career at Atari Germany in 1990. In 1995 he moved to Hong Kong to establish Hong Kong Cybercity/Freenation, the first free web page and email provider in Asia. In 1998 he set up Outblaze, an award-winning pioneer of multilingual white label web services. In 2009, he sold Outblaze’s messaging unit to IBM and pivoted Outblaze to become an incubator of projects and companies to develop digital entertainment services and products. Michael Terpin is founder and CEO of Transform Ventures, a blockchain investment and advisory firm, and he serves as CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Supercycle Genesis Partners, LP, the first Bitcoin-only, algorithmic crypto hedge fund with a thesis of selling bitcoin at the top of each cycle and buying back more at the bottom. Michael is a highly accomplished executive, with over 35 years as a serial entrepreneur and investor, leading to numerous successful exits and the establishment of his Puerto Rico based family office, Transform Capital. Terpin is also an early Bitcoin investor and thought leader, referred to as “the Godfather of Crypto” by CNBC for his early marketing and advisory of leading blockchain projects including Ethereum and Tether. He co-founded BitAngels (2013) and BitAngels Fund 1 (2014), which invested $1,000,000 in the Ethereum crowd sale at thirty cents per token. Following his graduation from Keio University, Takeshi Chino joined the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006. In the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, he contributed to the improvement of default management processes. At the Japan Securities Clearing Corporation, he led the clearing project for OTC derivatives (Credit Default Swaps and Interest Rate Swaps) and handled managerial planning in the settlement area of the Japan Exchange Group. From 2016, he supported strategic discussions for the leadership team at PwC Japan's CEO Office. In July 2018, he joined Payward, the U.S. company that operates the globally recognized cryptocurrency exchange, Kraken. Chino was appointed as the company's Japan representative in March 2020. Since joining the Institutional Trading Team at FLOW TRADERS in 2017, Takeki has been providing liquidity to institutional investors via block trades across multiple asset classes, ranging from ETFs to international bonds and digital assets, based in Singapore and Hong Kong. Naoto Shimoda is a General Manager in the Digital Strategy Department at SMFG and SMBC, where he leads group-wide initiatives on digital assets. He is passionate about modernizing money and finance using new technologies, including blockchain and AI. Prior to his current role, Naoto accumulated over 30 years of policy-making experience at the Bank of Japan (BoJ) and the Ministry of Finance (MoF). He held a range of senior leadership positions, including Deputy Director General of the Payments Department, Director of the International Department, Head of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision Division, and Chief Representative at the Hong Kong office with APAC coverage at the BoJ, as well as Director for International Financial Affairs at the MoF. He also served as a member of various international fora, such as the CPMI, the G7 Digital Payments Experts Group (co-Chair in 2023), the Financial Innovation Network of the FSB, and the BIS-Central Banks CBDC Coalition. Naoto holds a degree in Law from Hitotsubashi University and studied Computer Science at Harvard University.
